Have you always wondered – why do we need the baptism of the Holy Spirit? The scriptures tell us that Jesus promised that He will send the Holy Spirit to His apostles: " 'This,' He said, 'is what you have heard from me; for John baptised you with water, but you will be baptised with the Holy Spirit' " (Acts 1:5-6). However, do you continue to ponder?
 
Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit 2000 years ago and that same promise still stands today as Jesus is the living Christ. For myself, that promise was fulfilled through receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Through the baptism of the Holy Spirit, my spiritual eyes and ears opened. I gradually became more sensitive of God's love for me in every aspect of my life. The joy of knowing how much God loves me is indescribable! 
 
Receiving the baptism of Holy Spirit will open our eyes to God's great love so in return, we can give Him all the honour and praise that He deserves.
 
Let us allow the Holy Spirit to flow within us and open our hearts to the joy of the Lord so that our joy may be complete!
