During World Youth Day, our group the Temple of the Holy Spirit (THS) is honored to organize a Chinese Charismatic prayer meeting on the 16th July (Wednesday) for Chinese youths all over the world. We are expecting more than 1000 pilgrims from countries such as Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau, China and Korea to name a few.
The title of this prayer meeting is “黑暗决不能勝過祂” (John 1:5) and we are praying that pilgrims who attend this prayer meeting will be led and empowered by the Holy Spirit to walk in the Light and be witnesses to the Light.
The program includes energetic Praise & Worship, inspiring talks by our guest speaker Imsoon Kim from San Francisco followed by a Spirit-filled prayover session.
This prayer meeting is being organised by the Temple of the Holy Spirit (THS) prayer group, one of the groups from the Sydney Chinese Catholic community. We are a group of dynamic and spirited young adults and our aim is to bring the living Jesus to young people around the world through the power of the Holy Spirit. As part of our mission, we have also organised prayer meetings since 2001 in various cities including Taiwan and Hong Kong.
We fervently invite you and your friends to join us on this day to experience the vigor and might of the Holy Spirit in line with the WYD08 theme, and to be inspired to bring the living Jesus back to local communities at the conclusion of the WYD08 events.

Event Speaker - Imsoon Kim |

Our speaker, Imsoon Kim, is a full-time international missionary with a passionate heart for youth ministry. Of Chinese-Korean origin, she now lives in San Francisco.
Many years ago, she was, by the power of the Holy Spirit, miraculously healed from cancer and now dedicates her time to church and missionary work.
Some of the many cities she has gone to as part of her ministry include those in America, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.
Imsoon has been the guest speaker on all of our previous mission trips to HK, Taiwan, Macau and Singapore and has touched the lives of many youths with the gifts that the Holy Spirit has blessed her with.

「為主燃燒」 DVD (On Fire for God)
We are passionately making a DVD called 「為主燃燒」 (On Fire for God), which will be distributed to all event participants for free.
The purpose of this DVD is two-fold:
(1) to encourage pilgrims to be led by the power of the Holy Spirit and be witnesses for Christ
(2) to encourage pilgrims to start charismatic prayer groups in their parishes back home under the guidance of the Holy Spirit
